Being “religious” or having “faith” should not absolve you from having a lick of sense: My tax dollars were just wasted going after someone who should’ve been laughed right off the internet after the first click on his site
Man who ran ‘pay for prayer’ website to pay $7.8 million in restitution
Depending on a guy from the internet to pray for you thinking that is going to make a difference… In the words of John Wayne:
Life is hard, it’s harder when you’re dumb
I wish people had as much faith in themselves as they did some guy on the internet, or some hateful vengeful jealous God who drowns his children at will and demands you follow him without ever questioning him or threatens you with eternal misery. One who everyone claims is omnipotent – yet can’t seem to (or doesn’t care to) stop the smallest of miseries.
You don’t need to have faith to have morals, and things that happen to you in life:
Sometimes they have no reason, sometimes they just aren’t fair.
That is when you need another human being to take your hand and help you up. If you believe there was a “Creator” (as the Native Americans do) then you would realize that there is a part of that creation in all of us.
We are here to help each other, we are here to learn, we are here.
If you can’t be a good person without the threat of hellfire and damnation then there is something missing in you, which has nothing to do with any diety
1000’s of “Gods” have come and gone through the ages, all through Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East: they all die, but humans are still here.
