Please note: We had 3 of the same pictures posted for some reason, my website was freaking out and I didn’t double check what I had posted. I will go look for the other pix as soon as I am able.
We were sent this photo of the Gold Bar Reporter’s view from the fire. The Fire Dept went from a level one evacuation order up to a Level 3 last we heard.
Please be careful up there and be ready to go when the time comes. Also remember by law the shelters have to take your domestic pets in an emergency in the entire country so do not leave them alone. It’s called the PETS LAW and it has been law since 2006
In 2006, the federal Pets Evacuation and Transportation Standards (PETS) Act (42 U.S.C.A. § 5196a-d (2006)) was passed. PETS directs the Administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to develop emergency preparedness plans and ensure that state and local emergency plans take into account the needs of individuals with pets and service animals during a major disaster or emergency.
