Local Choristers Offer Free Vocal Workshops
Pacific Sound Chorus is holding an Open House for women of all ages who like to sing on October 24th from 6:45 – 9:30 pm. This event will be the first in an eight week session of vocal education offered at no cost. Pacific Sound Chorus meets on Tuesday evenings at the First United Methodist Church at 1934 108th in Bellevue. The ongoing sessions will be preceded by a “Quartet Wanna Be” party held from noon until 4:00 p.m. on October 21st. at the Fairwood Library, 17009 140th Ave. S.E. in Renton. The party is also at no cost and each event is independent of the other.
All who attend the Open House will be given 2 complimentary tickets to the chorus annual holiday show to be held at 2:00 p.m. on December 16th at Lake Washington High School. Those continuing to participate in the group lessons will be invited to sing with the chorus at their holiday performance at Lake Washington High School. All will share the stage with featured guest artists, “Straighter Road”, the 2015 National Harmony Sweepstakes Winner.
Musical knowledge is not necessary to participate in these workshops. Any woman of average singing ability will find a part that fits her voice range with the help of chorus musical leaders.
