Pedestrian Struck By Pizza Delivery Driver

There has been no update on the victim as of today 9/3/2017 but the man who hit him was a Pizza Delivery driver, who was at work at the time.

Pedestrian in critical condition

EVERETT – A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a vehicle when he walked into the roadway.

At about 8:30 p.m. tonight, officers were dispatched to the 11700 block of Airport Rd on the report a collision. Arriving officers found a pedestrian had been struck by a northbound Honda. Due to the force of the collision, the pedestrian was inside the vehicle from which Everett Fire extracted and transported him to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett.

Detectives believe the pedestrian, a 56 year-old Everett man, walked onto the roadway and are investigating if alcohol was a factor in his actions. He is currently in critical condition.

The driver, a 32 year-old Everett man, remained at the scene and cooperated with detectives. The driver was not injured in the collision nor is it believed that alcohol or drugs were factors in his actions.

Airport Rd was closed until 10:30 p.m. for the investigation but is now open for traffic.

Detectives continue working the case and impounded the vehicle pending a search warrant for possible evidence.
